[shang way too-oh cha]          Ripened Pu'er

This large nest variety of shou pu'er shares the shape of pu’erla, but it is much larger. It is one of our darker, ruddier pu’ers from Yunnan, with an expressiveness that swirls, changing a little with each sip to give you different elements of old-growth tree roots as they mingle in damp earth. The strong, earthy, slightly astringent flavor is reminiscent of underground caverns where treasures are kept secret.
