[ya bau]          Wild Tea Buds

This delicate white tea is harvested from sprouts on the small twigs of Wild Tea Trees grown in western Yunnan. The large pine-cone shaped buds are picked in late March and sun dried.

Ya Bao is distinguished from other white teas by a sweet and fresh flavor that stands alone in the world of tea. The brewed liquor is pale white and clear, with a hint of honeysuckle in the aroma. The drinker is instantly transported to a grove of flowers, where they might spend hours watching the bees hard at work. This Chinese tea warms and soothes, lifting the spirit at any time of year.
